What is myGaithersburg?
|
myGaithersburg is an e-mail-based news service, designed to help anyone with an interest in the City of Gaithersburg find out quickly about City government news and events, employment opportunities and more. It is a "custom" service that lets you select areas of interest that you want to receive information about. Every notice about a news or website update item included in myGaithersburg will contain a link to its location on the City of Gaithersburg website.
About myGaithersburg
myGaithersburg is available to anyone wishing to receive City news updates, meeting agendas and event schedules from the City of Gaithersburg. Here are some basic points about how it works.
- To subscribe, you will need an Internet e-mail account.
- Once you subscribe, you will get an e-mail from us confirming your subscription. If you don't hear from us, send a message to webmaster@gaithersburgmd.gov.
- After subscribing, be sure to create your "profile" by selecting the categories of interest you want to be told about.
- You will be notified via e-mail when news alerts and updates matching your profile take place. E-mails will include links to the web location.
What do I need in order to subscribe to myGaithersburg?
To subscribe to myGaithersburg you will need an Internet e-mail account. We will not be collecting e-mail information for any purposes other than automatic notifications. How do I set up my profile?
After providing your Internet e-mail address, you will be able to create a "profile" of news alerts you want to receive. You can choose from any of the "areas of interest." You can change your areas of interest, modify your profile, or unsubscribe, at any time through your existing user profile. If you desire to edit your profile simply enter "Login for Existing Users" and make the changes.

Subscribing to this service is strictly voluntary. However, your myGaithersburg profile cannot be created without a valid e-mail address. The information you provide here will only be used by City of Gaithersburg for the purpose of this service. Your information will not be distributed to any third-party vendors nor to any other local or government agency.
